Handy tool

One of the handiest tools i have is a hemostat.
got mine at a flea market and wouldn't be without it.

It is great for clamping threads, beading wire and all
sorts of things.

I sometimes clamp the end of beading wire so that I can string beads on without them falling off and I can see what the finished project may be like.
